The Outpatient Coder reviews medical records and assigns accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures with an emphasis on the Emergency Department and Same Day Surgery area. This is a 3 -4 month contract position with possible extension. Full-time or Part-time hours available, flexible schedule.

Job Qualifications:

• Required: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience with Outpatient Hospital Coding with specialty experience in Emergency Department, including E/M level and injection & infusion, and/or Same Day Surgery, Ancillary, and/or Observation
• Required: CPC, RHIA, and/or RHIT credentials
• Required: Software System experience such as Epic, Cerner/PowerChart, Meditech, 3M/3M 360 CAC, Opyum/Optum CAC, etc.
