The Certified Oncology Data Specialist- Apprentice is responsible for the review and accurate abstraction of cancer registry data from electronic medical records in compliance with state and national guidelines. The Certified Oncology Data Specialist–Apprentice is committed to continuous learning and the application of education-based feedback to support progressive skill development and increasingly independent performance. The Certified Oncology Data Specialist–Apprentice demonstrates progressive development toward tiered quality and productivity benchmarks aligned with their stage of training and demonstrated competency.

The Academy at R.A.M. HCG, Inc. is seeking newly certified ODS professionals with a strong interest in a tiered, progressive training program designed to foster continued skill development and increasing abstraction proficiency. The apprenticeship is a fully remote, full-time, two-year commitment focused on building competency through structured training, mentorship, and progressive performance milestones.

Required:

• Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) Certification
• Certification within the last 2 years
• Less than 2 years abstracting experience
